Designations provide control over which parent-led registration form/flow a new family/lead/registrant is shown.
For example, you may have certain programs that only a certain sub-group of families is applicable for and you do not want it to appear as an option for others. Or you may offer your program at a different price point based on differing variables and upon registration you want to ensure families are signing up for the correct billing plan based on what they are applicable for.
Designations are simply variations of your registration flow/form - with different options that families see (are offered) when they register.
To set up a designation
Admin > Settings > Designations > Configure > +Add
*No limit on how many Designations you can Add during setup.
Example: you may have ELOP, a subsidy in California where parents do not pay anything to attend, so these families that qualify need to see a zero-dollar billing plan.

From here you can keep track of your designation URLs.
Child Profiles
When designations are set up you will have the option on every child’s profile page of a designations field which will display a drop down menu (of all designations you have set-up) where you can select the name (ex: "ELOP", "Scholarship", "Agency", "Military", etc. ) of the designation. This allows for better reporting and visibility on which children/families qualify and are applicable for certain designations.
To add billing plans to your designations
Manage > Billing > Configuration > Plans and Items > "+Add" OR "Actions > Edit"
Once the billing plan is added, you’ll be able to select the Designation in the Restrict to the following designation(s) field.
