Coupons and discounts are powerful tools for engaging customers and driving sales. At LineLeader, we offer robust options for configuring both, allowing you to tailor your promotions to fit various strategies and needs.

By understanding and utilizing these features, you can create targeted, effective promotions that drive customer engagement and enhance your business’s offerings. Whether through flexible coupons that customers enter themselves or center-managed discounts, our platform is designed to support your promotional strategy comprehensively.

Here's a detailed look at how you can effectively manage coupons and discounts in the LineLeader Manage platform.

Coupons

Coupons in PLR can be highly customized to fit your promotional needs. Coupons are entered by parents at checkout, allowing them to apply the discount during their registration process.

Here’s how you can set them up:

Where to find Coupon Configuration?: Billing > Configuration > Coupon Codes

  • Click "+Add" button in the top right to add a new Coupon

  • Click the "Actions" dropdown button to the right of any existing coupon code to: "Edit", "Suspend" or "Archive"

When configuring a coupon code you will fill out the following fields:

Coupon Code

  • What It Is: The unique code that customers will enter at checkout to apply their discount.

  • Best Practices:

    • Choose a memorable and relevant code that reflects the promotion.

    • No spaces

Description

  • What It Is: A brief explanation of what the coupon offers.

  • Purpose: Helps communicate the value and benefits of the coupon to potential users.

Amount

  • What It Is: The value of the coupon, which can be a fixed dollar amount or a percentage off the total purchase.

  • Flexibility: Adjust this based on your pricing strategy and target audience.

Registration Start Date

  • What It Is: The date when the coupon becomes valid.

  • Usage: Ensures that the coupon is used only during the intended promotional period.

Registration End Date

  • What It Is: The last day the coupon can be used.

  • Usage: Defines the coupon’s validity period and informs customers of the deadline.

Coupon Savings Expiration Date

  • What It Is: The date when the savings from the coupon expire, potentially outside of the primary application window.

  • Usage: Useful for extending or limiting the benefit period beyond the registration dates.

Max Number of Registrations

  • What It Is: The maximum number of times the coupon can be redeemed.

  • Usage: Creates urgency and exclusivity by limiting availability.

Restrict Coupon Usage with Other Coupons

  • What It Is: Allows you to restrict the user to use multiple coupons.

  • Usage: Enables precise control over when the coupon is valid.

Restrict Coupon Usage with Other Discounts

  • What It Is: Allows you to restrict the application of coupons and discounts together.

  • Usage: Enables precise control over when the coupon is valid.

Restrict Coupon Usage to Specific Time Periods

  • What It Is: Allows the coupon to be used only during specific times or days.

  • Usage: Enables precise control over when the coupon is valid.

Restrict Coupon Usage to Specific Billing Plans

  • What It Is: Limits the coupon to specific billing plans.

  • Usage: Aligns the coupon with your pricing structure.

Restrict Coupon Usage to Specific One-Time Charges

  • What It Is: Applies the coupon only to certain one-time charges.

  • Usage: Helps manage promotional offers more effectively.

Single Installment Coupon?

  • What It Is: Applies the coupon only to single charge.

  • Usage: Helps manage promotional offers more effectively.

Ledger Code

  • What It Is: You can add your accounting ledger code associated with this coupon here.

  • Usage: Enhances your accounting reporting.

Can this coupon code be used with bundles?

  • What It Is: Can a parent apply this coupon code when they are registering for a Bundle (ex: Your center offers a bundle discount already to families who are enrolled in both Before Care AND After Care).

  • Usage: Enables precise control over when the coupon is valid.

Discounts

Unlike coupons, discounts are directly managed by the center itself, providing a direct way to control promotions without requiring customer input. Here’s how to set them up in LineLeader Manage:

Accessing Discounts

  • Navigate to Discounts configuration via: Billing > Configuration > Discounts and Payers

Creating a Discount

  • Click on "Manage Discounts" > “Add New Discount,” then fill in the required fields, including the discount amount, description, and applicable conditions.

Applying Discounts

  • Scope: Discounts can be applied to various billing plans, one-time charges, or specific periods as needed. See our article on Invoice Modifications for details.

Managing Discounts

  • Adjustments: You can update or remove discounts from the system based on your promotional needs by clicking on "Manage Discounts"

    • From here you can edit (click on the pencil icon) or archive (click on the file icon).

  • When editing fill out the required fields and "Save"
