Communication Types

LineLeader Enroll enables users the ability that allows parent/guardians to unsubscribe to different communication types.

To enable this go to Settings> System> Features > Toggle on Communications Types.

This provides greater flexibility and understanding when it comes to parent/guardians unsubscribing from text messages or emails.

The communication types are:

  • General

  • Service

  • Marketing

You have the ability to group message templates (text and emails) by their communication type. You will have a dropdown for "communication type" within the email/text editor where you can assign certain templates to certain communication types.

When a parent/guardian chooses to unsubscribe they will have different options available. They can chose to unsubscribe from all texts and or emails, or specific communications types of texts and or emails.

When the subscription settings have been saved you will see this automatically update in the primary guardian window of the Family Hub. Anytime you see a "!" exclamation mark this indicates the parent/guardian has unsubscribed in some way.

If the parent unsubscribes from all text and or emails you will see the communication icon in the Family Hub greyed out. If you edit the primary guardian record you will see a tick box. If you see a box with a "-" dash this means they have only decided to unsubscribe from certain communication types, and you can hover over to see exactly which types. If you see a tick box with a check mark this means the parent/guardian decided to unsubscribe from all of the communication types for that method of communication (text or email or both).

Please note : If a parent/guardian unsubscribes we are unable to legally change this. If the parent/guardian wishes to re-subscribe to texts or emails they will need to reply "START" to a text they have received or re-subscribe via the link in an email received.
