When creating a new account at your center, it is important to assign the correct “account type” to the profile as this will affect their roles and permissions. These account types limit a user’s access to ensure they only see the things that are important to them.

  • Child: Child type accounts are assigned to the children that are attending your center. It is important to add all attending children to your site for attendance and data entry purposes.

  • Family: Family accounts have access to their child’s information and moments posted for their child once they are connected to their child’s account through the “relationships” tab. All parents, guardians, authorized pickups, and emergency contacts will utilize this user type. Their ability to see information about a child depends on their relationship type. Any Family user with a Family relationship type will have access to see the child’s basic information. However, Family users who are designated only as Authorized Pickups or Emergency Contacts will not be able to see a child’s basic information and will not have log-in access to the app itself.

  • Staff: Staff accounts are most commonly used for the teachers you have within your center. There are certain areas of the app that they do not have access to when labeled as a “staff” account. A staff-level account will not have access to:

  • Billing information (including previously issued invoices, billing reports, etc)

    1. Full profile editing

  • Admin: Administrators have access to everything within the org. This account type will be used for those in your center that need to have access to features such as billing and modification of content.
