Admins: How to create a Family Relationship

For admins who want to help parents get real-time notifications or daily summaries

1. Navigate to the profile of the Person to which you are trying to add a Relationship

2. Click the "Relationships” tab at the top of the profile

3. Click "+Add Relationship"

4. If the person you are adding a relationship with is not in the system, click “Create New”. If the person exists in the system, click “Associate Existing”


5. If they exist in the system already, select the relationship name you are looking for


6. Make sure the "Type" field = Family. You can then choose if they are the “Primary Caregiver” and a description of the relationship

7. Click "Save”

Once you establish a relationship, you have the option to set the real-time notifications a family member will receive. Click the name under "Relationships" and it takes you to that person's profile

8. Click the “Relationships” tab at the top of that profile and you will see a screen like this



These boxes enable you to select real-time email and text notifications based on their individual preference or a center-wide decision to offer such real-time notifications.
