Once you have created your themes and activities you can connect them to your Learning and Portfolio Moments. To learn more about creating activities and themes click here.

Creating a Learning Moment

1. Click the purple “+” on the bottom of your screen

2. Next, tap the “Learning” moment.

3. Click the “Curriculum” field, and select the Activity you are teaching. Then tag the children who are participating. Under the “Type” field you can select the type of activity this falls under. Once you have filled out all the fields tap “Save” in the upper right corner.

Creating a Portfolio Moment

1. Click the purple “+” at the bottom of your screen

2. Select “Portfolio”

3. Click the “Activity” field, and select the Activity you are teaching. Then tag the children who are participating or you can tag the whole group. You can then log any observations that you would like to include in the portfolio moment. Remember to select “Add Observation” after selecting the achievement level you would like to include. Not selecting “Add Observation” will not save the observation to the portfolio moment. Once you have filled out all the fields tap “Save” in the upper right corner.

Create a Portfolio or Learning Moment from a child’s profile in the web app

  1. Log in to the web app: app.momentpath.com

  2. Go to the child’s profile, select the “Moment” square box under the child’s profile

  3. Select the Portfolio Moment, fill out each section, and click “Save.”

  • Moment Type: Select the Portfolio moment

  • All Center Tagging Options: If selecting a group, you can tag people currently checked into the group(s).

  • Tagged people: Tag one child or group(s)

  • Activity: Select the activity that is scheduled for your group today.

  • Observations: Select the Standard and whether the child meets that standard (Not Measured, Introduced, Meets, Exceeds) * Remember to select “Add” to include the observation in the portfolio moments.

  • Comment: Add any additional information that you would like to include in the moment (Remember parents can only view Learning Moments in the app).

4. The Portfolio moment has been added to Christina’s profile, as shown below.

Select the plus icon to create a learning or portfolio moment in the web app

1. Log in to the web app: app.momentpath.com

2. Check to make sure an activity is scheduled for your classroom

3. Click the “+” icon at the top-right menu of your screen

4. Select the Learning moment, fill out each section, and click “Save" (Remember parents can only view Learning Moments in the app).

5. The Learning moment has been added to the Ready-2-Learn group’s activity page and to the children’s profiles that are currently checked into the Ready-2-Learn group.

Notes:

  • Activities only appear for teachers and administrators who are checked into that particular classroom. If you do not see an activity you have planned, make sure you are checked into the correct group!

  • In the Learning Moment, an additional “Type” may be selected if needed. This is an easy way for you to organize your moments and helps gather additional information.

  • Additional comments are stored on the moment itself, not on the Activity. If you need to add a note to the Activity, please revisit Step 17

  • Parents can only view Learning moments posted by staff members, but staff members have the ability to generate portfolios to provide to the parents.

  • The activities listed for the Learning and Portfolio moments appear based on which group the teacher is checked into when posting the moment.

  • The activities shown in learning and portfolio moments are from the activities and theme banks.
