Name-to-Face Check

Whether a state requirement or you are simply trying to be more proactive with attendance, use Name to Face to ensure ratios are correct!

LineLeader's Name-to-Face Attendance Check is a great way to ensure every child and teacher is checked in and accounted for. Some states require these counts to be conducted in set intervals. To help stay in compliance or to proactively manage your attendance, follow these steps to conduct a name-to-face count in the web app!

Name-to-Face Check (Web)

  1. Tap on Manage and select Groups from the left-hand menu bar

2. Tap on the "Name to Face" button and the List Icon to change your view to Grid to perform the Name to Face check.

3. We released a new feature that includes the teachers in your classroom to appear in Name to Face checks as well. Conduct your roll call and tap on the photos of the teachers and children you can visibly see in your classroom. You will notice that as you select them, a light green color fills the background of their square. If you accidentally tap someone, simply tap them again to remove the green indicator. Then, tap the "Save Name to Face" button.

4. A menu will appear letting you know that the Name to Face Check was successful!

5. If there is a child or teacher that you did not tap, there will be a warning displayed. If the child and teacher are in your room and are identified, you may hit "Ok" and try again. This feature makes it easy to ensure all children and teachers are accounted for.

6. A record that the name-to-face attendance check was completed can be found under the staff member's profile.

7. To view if children and staff members were recorded in the Name to Face Check please go to the Moments Report found in Reports. In the Moments Report check the "Include Detail as Column" box, put "Name to Face" in the Type section and select the Group that performed the Name to Face Check. Select "Update."

Note: When you move to a room that is not a “designated classroom” your Name to Face will keep the information from your most recent designated classroom. This feature prevents children that are in the same room but from other classrooms from appearing on your Name to Face check. To create a designated classroom you will:

1. Go to Groups and select the three dots on the right side of the group



2. You will select “Configuration” from the drop-down and ensure that “Designate as Classroom” is checked


Name to Face Check in the Mobile App:

1. Open the MomentPath app and Tap on the People screen at the bottom of your screen.

2. Select Name to Face at the upper righthand corner of your screen.

3. With the new feature to include teachers in Name to Face Checks. Please click on each child and teacher currently in your classroom. A white checkmark will appear in the green box of the child that you have selected. Please click "Save" to save the Name to Face Check.

4. A Menu box will appear letting you know that the Name to Face Check was successful. Please select "Ok."

5. If the Name to Face Check was unsuccessful, this menu box will appear letting you know that there was a child or teacher you did not account for. Please click "Ok" and then "Cancel" to try again.

Name-to-Face Prompt on Move

As a staff or admin member using LineLeader Engage, you can now prompt Name-To-Face check when moving a child or staff person to another site or room.

  1. When a child is moved from one group to another group, it will show “This roster has changed-perform a Name to Face” below the Name to Face button on the People screen

    1. This will show on the Staff phone for the child’s old group

    2. This will show this on the Staff phone for the child’s new group

  2. When a staff is moved from one group to another group, it will show “This roster has changed-perform a Name to Face” below the Name to Face button on the People screen

    1. This will show this on the phone of the Staff that moved

  3. After that Staff performs a Name to Face check for their group, the yellow warning will be removed


Completing an Incomplete Name to Face Check

Complete partial Face to Name checks to finish the check in, even if a child is missing for normal reasons

If the “Require Complete Name to Face Check” configuration is set to "no", this will:

  1. Allow a name to face check to be completed without all children being selected

  2. If a user does an incomplete Name to Face check, require the user to choose one of the following (from the tray):

    • Bathroom

    • Split

    • Extracurricular

    • Other (with text box)

To see this functionality in the web app:

  1. Log into the web app

  2. Make sure Admin > Settings > Configuration > Moment Configuration [View Moment Types] > Require complete name to face check is disabled

  3. Log into the web app with a staff login (if not already)

  4. Manage > People > PIN Check In > Enter the Staff’s PIN > Submit > OK

  5. Manage > Groups > View Roster (any)

  6. If at least two children aren’t already checked in, click “Not Checked In” and make sure two children are checked in

  7. Click “Name to Face”

  8. Click one of the resulting children > Save Name to Face

  9. You’ll see a “Choose a value” modal like the following, and that’s what we want to replicate in mobile:
