How to create an Announcement

Announcements are an easy way to communicate important information to Administrators, Staff, and Families.

Announcements are a great way to spread information across your center. Announcements will be posted to your center calendar. An announcement will also post to the "Now" screen in the mobile app and will be included in the end-of-day email summary for children who are checked in and out on the day the announcement is scheduled.

Please note: If you need to send an urgent note or reminder, we strongly recommend the Notification Moment as opposed to an announcement.

You can access Announcements by clicking "Content" on the left-hand menu and then clicking “Announcements” in the drop-down menu. You can add a new announcement by tapping the "+Add" button.

Next, add the information you are going to publish:

  • Title: This will be the main headline for your announcement.

  • Description: Add valuable details about your announcement here. Consider adding a date, time, or explanation in this section.

  • Start Date/End Date: If you would like your announcement to span multiple days, you can enter the date you would like your announcement to begin and end here. If you would like your announcement to appear for one day, simply select the same start and end date.

  • Audience: Use this section to choose to whom this announcement will be visible. You may select all users in your center, specific roles, or even individual groups!

  • Add Reminder: If you would like your announcement to send an email and/or push to send a reminder, you can click “add reminder” and choose as many dates and times as needed.

  • Attach Media: Attach a PDF if needed.

To create an announcement reminder(s)

1. After you have filled in the above information, you will want to click “add reminder”.

2. You will then choose the date, time, and channel you would like to send the reminder through. You can choose to send the reminder through an email, a push notification to their device, or both.

3. Be sure to click “set” once you have chosen your date, time, and channel(s). You can add as many reminders as you would like by clicking “add reminder” after you have set the previous one.

To post your announcement, tap "Save".

Remember, this announcement will appear on the :

  • Center calendar

  • "Now" screen on the mobile app on the day the announcement is scheduled

  • End of day email summaries for children checked in and out on the day the announcement is scheduled
