The Punch Cards feature provides families and childcare centers with flexible, drop-in scheduling and pre-paid care options. Designed to accommodate non-traditional or part-time schedules, Punch Cards allow parents to purchase packages of attendance days in advance and book care as needed while ensuring centers maintain accurate headcount and billing records.

đ ď¸ How Punch Cards Work
1. Feature Enablement (Center Administrators)
Punch card plans can be configured alongside regular billing items, tuition plans, and fee bundles.
Category: Select "Tuition" if it is a recurring charge; Leave blank if it is a one-time charge which most Punchcards purchases tend to be
Number of Days: How many days is this good for? i.e. How many Days is the Amount (i.e. Price) you enter in this Punchcard set-up good for?
All other Details Fields are same definitions as listed above under "For Plans" and "For Items" fields
2. Purchasing a Punch Card (Parents & Staff)
Families or center staff can purchase punch cards directly from the child's digital profile:
Navigate to the Child Profile.
Select the Programs tab.
Under the Add Programs section, choose the desired punch card package (e.g., 10 Day Punch Card).
Proceed through the secure checkout process.
Promotional & Coupon Support: Discount codes can be applied during checkout (e.g., coupon codes like 100OFF grant a full discount for scholarships, promotions, or administrative adjustments).
3. (Families) Pre-Scheduling Care & Generating Schedules
Punch cards create attendance schedules whenever a punch card day is pre-scheduled:
View the available punch card balance near the top of the Programs tab.
Click Preschedule under an available punch card day.
Select the desired future date for care.
Choose the specific schedule type or session the child will attend.
Save the booking.
Note: Punch card bookings automatically populate teacher rosters and check-in rosters for the pre-scheduled dates.
4. Modifying & Canceling Bookings
Plans change, and Punch Cards offer full flexibility for families:
If a child cannot attend a pre-scheduled day, the booking can be canceled prior to the date.
Canceling a pre-scheduled date restores the punch card day back to the available balance for future use.
5. Billing & Sibling Discount Controls
Sibling Discount Exemptions: Centers can customize whether Punch Cards are eligible for automatic sibling discounts by toggling the "Exempt from Sibling Discount" option in charge settings.
Pre-Paid Accounting: Revenue and usage are clearly tracked as punch card days are purchased and redeemed.
